Syndicated on MSN, Giada’s Favorite Chocolate Shop, and Why You Need to Make a Cocktail Garnish Board – Latest Tasting Table Freelance

Guys, it just dawned on me. I get paid to write about brownies. I’m pretty sure my 10 year old self would think I’m the bee’s knees.

It’s been a while since I updated my blog, but I took a vacation over Christmas and then just rode that slow-down energy for most of January. While I haven’t been active on social media or blogging, I have been actively writing, both articles for Tasting Table (I’m averaging about 6-7k words a month writing for them!) and I’ve gotten back into working on my historical novel that has been in progress for way too long.

On the novel front, I anticipate having the first draft complete by the first week of March, and I’d like to publish it late summer or early fall. Be on the lookout for more information about the inspiration behind the story starting in the spring! And on the freelance writing front, I’m loving all the variety I get to experience writing for Tasting Table.

Some of my latest articles of note include a piece I wrote just before New Year’s Eve on The Classic Party Snack Ina Garten Approves Of For Dinner that was published on Tasting Table and got syndicated on MSN!

In the past month or so I’ve also written about an Italian chocolate shop in The Shop Where Giada De Laurentiis Goes For The Best Chocolate In Italy, the secret to gooey brownies with my article The Best Type Of Sugar To Use For Ultra Gooey Brownies, a tip for extra yummy hot chocolate with The Pantry Favorite That Adds Depth To Your Hot Chocolate (can you tell I like writing about chocolate?) and the latest trend in cocktail garnishing that you should include at your next gathering in the article Your Next Cocktail Party Needs A DIY Garnish Platter.

These food and beverage articles were fun to write, and I learned quite a bit during the research required for each piece. Another reason I chose to share these five articles is because they all contain tips and information that may help you planning your Valentine’s or Galentine’s celebrations 🙂

If you make any of the dishes from my Tasting Table articles, let me know! Leave a comment, send me an email, or give me a shout on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
