Family Time on the Horizon

I just wanted to write a quick post and share a few things that are going on in my life right now. I know I have been a little behind in posting this month, :-(. What can I say that doesn’t sound cliched?

I hate sounding corny, but it’s that time of year. Family get-togethers are coming up for me and my husband in the next few weeks and I am very excited about spending time with all of our loved ones. We’re not buying gifts for anyone (more on that in another post, I promise), however, I love to cook, so I’m making some delicious, edible gifts for my family this year. As a result, I’ve been running around gathering ingredients for all of the dishes I plan on making and the cookies and baked goods that I’ll be baking soon.
Also, I just landed a wonderful freelance writing gig this past week. To say I am thrilled would be putting it mildly. I will share more about this opportunity later, but right now, I am feeling like Santa knew just what I really wanted this year, because I couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas present.
