Guys, I think I’ve cracked the recipe code for Chick-Fil-A lemonade. Although I no longer eat fast food, from time to time, especially when it’s hot out, I will hit up the drive-thru at the chicken chain for an ice cold lemonade.
In the past I’ve made lemonade, but most of the recipes I found online either used way too much sugar for my liking or they were too tart. I played around with a recipe I saw online but instead of using refined sugar, I opted to sweeten it with a blend of raw local honey and raw, organic agave.
And…wow! This finished product is so, so good. Even after the lemonade sat in the fridge for a couple days, it was just as sweet and refreshing as the first day I made it. We took it on a picnic, and I will admit that because of the color of the honey and agave, the finished product looks less like lemonade and a bit more like a margarita or whiskey sour, but only you will know the truth of what’s really in the container 🙂

Ingredients:
Juice of 6-7 large lemons
5 cups of water
1/2 cup of raw honey
1/4 cup of raw agave
How to make it:
To a pot, add water, agave, and honey on the stove and heat over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the honey and agave is blended into the water, making a syrup, (this takes about 5-7 minutes). Meanwhile, juice the lemons and add the juice to a large pitcher (I used a half gallon sized Mason jar, which was the perfect size for this batch of lemonade). Remove the syrup from the heat and allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then add it to the lemon juice in the pitcher or Mason jar. Refrigerate and then serve over ice.
