Things have been hectic over the past couple of months, as is the case with so many of us, the holiday season was at once a time to be intentional with our calendars and spend time with our family and friends, while also navigating the general busyness that’s inevitable during this season.
Over the past several weeks I’ve been canning deer meat, making more foods from scratch, finally getting homemade bread right, and planning my 2024 garden (my goal is to start seedlings in January and utilize a collapsible greenhouse to start my growing season early).

Adding to my busy days have been an increase in articles for Sauce (yay for more freelance). Here’s a short list of all the articles that published in November and December.
Manileno, a new Filipino eatery is opening soon; embrace the magic of the winter season in a rentable igloo; there’s a new spot to take in work from local creatives and grab a drink, at Luvwoo; Brick + Bramble in Edwardsville brings a St. Louis city experience to the East side of the river; Century Coffee Company is the first coffee shop in City Foundry STL; Pie Guy Pizza has added a bar to its existing space; Big Belly Deli opened in Florissant, and farmers market vendor STL Steak and Cake opens a brick and mortar location.
